There’s a lot happening when it comes to organizations working on learning and education in the international development world. That’s what you’ll find in the latest edition of the UN Special, a monthly magazine for the international and diplomatic community in Geneva. It focuses on how education is being used to make the world a safer, more connected, and better world.
Since language is such an important part of this process, the UN Special gave us the opportunity to contribute an article about learning languages – something that we also blogged about!
We’re happy to be a part of the edition and in good company. The December edition includes an interview with UNESCO’s Director-General Irina Bokova on how education is the catalyst for a better future for children and adults in developing (and developed) countries. The magazine also features interesting insight into how the UN maintains and helps to train the UN peacekeepers and why Russian might be a good language to learn. If you’re learning French, the UN Special is also a great resource to practice your reading and comprehension skills because the magazine includes articles in both English and French!
